Meet the Mozambican Women Involved in Astronomy in Mozambique and Abroad

Dr. Dinelsa Machaieie is, as far as we know, the first and currently the only Mozambican woman with a PhD in Astronomy. Yara Simango is the first woman with a Master's degree in Astrophysics and is currently a PhD candidate in the United Kingdom. Victoria Samboco is a Master's candidate in Astronomy in South Africa. Laurinda Macaringue is also involved in astronomy activities and training, awaiting an opportunity to pursue a Master's degree in the field. Women and girls in Astronomy.
