What is AMAS?

The Mozambican Astronomy Association (AMAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to popularizing astronomy and promoting scientific knowledge in Mozambique, through events, observations, and training.

How can I take part in events?

All our events are announced on the Events page. Just check the date, location, and details for each event — most are open to the public.

Are events and observation sessions paid?

Most of our activities are free or have a symbolic cost. When there is a cost, it will always be indicated on the event page.

How can I support or donate to AMAS?

You can support us through the Donations page. Every contribution helps us acquire equipment, organize events, and bring astronomy closer to everyone in Mozambique.

Is there an online community or forum?

Yes! We have a Discord server where enthusiasts and astronomers share knowledge and discuss astronomy. You can find the link in the site footer, under the Forum section.
